If you’re reading this, you’re probably a curious perfectionist. Otherwise you wouldn't be here. You care about details and are always looking for ways to improve your work. Sometimes to the point of madness!
I know that because I’m the same. I think we secretly enjoy the madness if I'm honest. How else would you explain all these years that we’ve managed to survive in this trade?
Tell me if this resonates with you: When I get ready for work, I want to be primed for perfection and get in the mood. Sometimes before I begin, I look at the works of tailors I admire (or envy) and try to set the stage right; my board is clean, my shears are sharp and my thimble is… Ugh… Well, for a long time, my thimble was RUBBISH! And I hated it!
I knew that at the end of the day, my finger would go green. And you’d probably agree that green is still an upgrade; because my first thimble made my finger brown!
And I know that I'm not the only one with this experience. We’re now a quarter into the 21st century and we’re still trying to hunt for “good” thimbles on eBay or antique shops.
Now what if there was a thimble that did deserve our efforts? One that would align with our perfectionism and not undermine it...

Tell me what you think of this: We make bespoke suits in a luxury industry for crying out loud! Why should we be doing that with a cheapjack thimble that is SO THE OPPOSITE of the perfection we are trying to achieve? To me, it just feels wrong!
Long story short, this is why I designed Atlas. I believe that our tools are an extension of our hands and our vision. And they SHOULD inspire us. They set the tone for the day and get us in the mood. At least that’s how it works for me. Atlas brings me in the mood for perfection. And I’m sure it will do the same for you...
